Overall Reflection
After having done the classroom management plan and writing this annotation, I better understood the importance of the teacher’s role in regards to actively involving the parents, school staff and specialists, and the community to help foster the success of every student and motivate them to learn. Communication with all of these people is needed to help your students learn and progress. It is crucial for the teacher and even the parents to develop every student to their fullest potential, but it is also very important for the students to know that there are so many other people there who care about them and want to see them succeed, and many other resources for learning and growing as a student. After participating in the team meeting, writing the reflection about it, and writing this annotation, I definitely know the importance of collaborating with other teachers and school personnel in order to enhance the learning experiences of my students. Every teacher has great ideas, experiences, and knowledge. But, in order to become a very successful teacher, I think it’s important to collaborate with your colleagues in order to obtain new, exciting ideas to use with your students. Receiving a positive PBA from your cooperating teacher was very beneficial to me. Sometimes I don’t think I realize all that I do until someone points it out to me. It has been that case here. I have learned so much about myself as a pre-professional teacher, and also about what I want to become from this PBA and writing this annotation. There are so many aspects of becoming a good teacher, it is definitely hard work, but the more you practice, the easier it gets, and the better you become.
